Train to Enter the Manufacturing Job Market | SC Manufacturing Certification

Are you looking for ways to increase your employability? Want a career change? Maybe you’re fresh out of school or the military and new to the workforce? Offered through the SC Technical College System, a South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) will give you the skills you need to be successful in this growing industry. Best of all? There’s no cost to eligible applicants (excluding a nominal background check fee).

Upon successful completion of the SCMC program, you’ll earn an industry-recognized national certification that lets employers know you’ve got the skills they need.

“It’s a good, solid job opportunity,” says Kim Mann, Business Solutions Director for Corporate and Continuing Education at Midlands Technical College. “The SCMC gives military personnel a foot in the door to a growing workforce community. There’s also tremendous room for advancement. Most companies like to promote from within.”

Ready to take advantage of this unique opportunity? Potential applicants must first attend an information session to learn more about the SCMC program, which is offered at 16 technical colleges throughout the state.
