Own your Own Business: Free Midlands Tech Course for Veteran Entrepreneurs Starts Next Week

It may seem challenging but owning your own business is an attainable dream. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. military veterans own an estimated 2.4 million businesses, accounting for nine percent of companies nationwide.

midlands_techIf you are a veteran or service member in the Midlands who is thinking about starting your own business, Midlands Technical College has the course for you. And the best part about it? It’s free.

FastTrac® NewVentureTM for the Veteran Entrepreneur starts March 24 at the Northeast Campus of Midlands Technical College located at 151 Powell Road in Columbia. The course meets every Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and is free for those who complete the 10-week program. Failure to complete the entire course will result in a $300 materials fee.

The course will provide tools to develop a business concept, determine the viability of that concept and outline the critical steps to a successful business launch.
